Mary Pope-Handy

I'm a Realtor with Keller Williams in Silicon Valley, married, with 2 kids.

I'm a Santa Clara Valley native, a second generation Realtor and I hail from a very loving, tight-knit, Irish-Catholic family. My Bachelor's degree is in Religious Studies (Gonzaga University, 1981) and Master's Degree is in Systematic Theology (Graduate Theological Union/Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, 1986). I taught secondary religious ed (religion in Catholic high schools) in life prior to kids, and have done volunteer and paid ministry with kids, teens, and adults. I have been married to my best friend, Jim Handy, since 1985 and we have two awesome kids, Brian and Clair.

After the kids arrived, it became clear that to live in Silicon Valley, to send our kids to parochial schools and to travel to see family back east (Jim's) and to have enough elbow room for sanity, we were going to need more income. So I followed my mom into real estate and was licensed and began working full time in Los Gatos and San Jose and the surrounding areas beginning in February 1993. It's been a great career and most of my clients become my friends (I am also picky, only working with "nice folks" - seriously. My clients must be honest, nice, and committed to buying and selling. Those are my criteria.)
